How to configure your browser to accept cookies

Literature Online Reference Edition needs to set up a temporary cookie on your computer in order to give you access to the database. You can enable cookies in your browser very easily following these simple steps:

If using Netscape Navigator 6.x:

Click Preferences on the Edit menu.
Click the Advanced category and select the section Cookies.

If using Netscape Navigator 7.x:

Click Preferences on the Edit menu.
Click the Privacy & Security category and select the section Cookies.

Click Internet Options on the View tab.
Click the Security tab and click on 'Custom Level'.
Scroll down to the Cookies section
Enable both per-session cookies and those stored on your machine.
Click OK.

If using Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.x

Click Internet Options on the View tab.
Click the Privacy tab and click on 'Advanced'.
Check the box 'Override automatic cookie handling'.
Accept both first and third party cookies.
Check the box 'Always allow session cookies'
Click OK.

If using Firefox 1.x

Click Options on the Tools menu.
Click the Privacy icon and click on Cookies.
Check the box 'Allow sites to set cookies'.
Click OK.
